Online Discount

Although you can book Qatar Airways at a QA office or through a travel agent, Qatar Airways offer a substantial online discount (i.e. tickets bought offline are much more expensive).

Many Qatar residents automatically use Qatar Airlines to travel home and abroad for holidays. Perhaps because of this, Qatar Airways can be much more expensive than some other airlines - I have known the difference to be as much as 1,500 riyals (over $400!) While it always worth comparing flights, if you are on Qatar Airways privilige club, it may be worth paying a bit extra in order to build up those points - and eventually get some free flights!

Qatar Airways Baggage Allowance

The standard Qatar Airways baggage allowance is 23 kilos, with five kilos hand allowance. The airline can be quite strict enforcing this. The luggage allowance is increased to 30 kilos for members of the privilege club on bronze membership or above. Business class passengers get 30 kilos allowance, and first class passengers receive 40 kilos allowance.
