Part 1: Finding Candidates

QV: So the 1st thing is, how do you find candidates for your vacancies?

Sharon: We do local recruitment. I mean depending on the kind of candidates we want on the job position we're looking to fill, then it could be safe for advisers that's when we actually recruit quite heavily. So we recruit, say from the UK and Jordan, Lebanon, India, and locally as well within the gulf areas where, you know…you got the…we prefer people from the gulf actually because they have the experience, you don't need the induction into the region but otherwise we tend to go overseas.

QV: Right. Do you use recruitment agencies?

Sharon: Sometimes, I mean we used to but not so much recently because what we're looking for we can't find within the agencies.

And because the remuneration package we're offering for employees, you know people in financial services, are mostly commission based.

So it's not a salary package. As a result, it has been quite difficult to actually recruit through agencies because they have got to specialize in financial services.
