It seems that is one area where investors are remaining brave. Despite plunging property prices in other areas of Qatar, and indeed in much of the world, property prices in the Pearl seem to be retaining their value, and while sales have slowed the properties are still being sold.

What seems likely is that less are now being bought to flip for a project - and more are being bought for other reasons, such as residency, freedom from tax, or just a desire to live in such an exclusive location.
