Finding Work In Qatar: The global economy is slowing down, and unemployment rates are rising across the world. Yet Qatar is one country that is still actively recruiting job seekers from abroad. More info:
As the global economy not only grinds to a halt but also slams the gears into reverse, Qatar's economy is forecast to grow 4% - a slow down, admittedly, from the hectic growth of the past but a growth many other countries will envy if those forecast prove correct.
There can be no guarantees in these uncertain time, of course, but with much of Qatar's future wealth relying on Natural Gas instead of oil, and with Natural Gas often sold on long term contracts, Qatar hopes for greater stability than some of its neighbours.
With the addition of massive investment in Qatar's investment infrastructure and education, and with the services need to support the oil and gas workers, Qatar's job market remains a healthy one.
A Word of Caution
Not all agencies are ethical, and not all companies are good employers. Before using and agency or accepting a position, do your research first!
