The Cool Campaign

It's 49 degrees and you are hot.

Every step you take is leaden as the ferocious sun beats down upon you. Every second feels like a minute, every minute like an hour, as you labour in the intense heat.

But you can't escape - your shift still has hours to go. And tomorrow you will be back.

It sucks.

Although often looked down upon, without the work of Qatar's labourers - many of whom are paid less than $200 a month - the country would be nothing.

Now these labourers are suffering in the Qatar summer, with some being taken to hospital with heat stroke.

You can help, though.

Qatar resident and Qatar Living/ILQ member Speed is organising a cool campaign.

Here's his message:

I am calling all of kind hearted ILQ members to come forward and donate generously.

Our main Items for the Cool Campaign are:

1) Small Water Bottles
2) Small Juice Bottles
3) Ice/ Ice boxes

If you wish you can also donate:

- Glucose packs
- Energy drinks (powder packs)

Our Collection day for the above items will be as follows:
